“ Absolutely amazing authentic Mexican food. Texas is my home and this please is right up with the best joints in south Texas and across the border. Will be back over and over again when in Memphis! Ordered the De Oreja de Elefante tacos. With the chile torreado peppers and pickled jalapeños----- amazing combination. Definitely recommend. “ We don't live in the Memphis area anymore but when we did, this was one of our favorite spots! And it was just as good this time as it always was! The service is always welcoming, the food served hot and delish, and the ambiance comfortable as always! We had two different taco orders and their corn. Oh, the corn! Served fresh and hot and full of flavor! We also had complimentary chips and homemade guacamole! Amazing! ”

“ I've been eating here for over 20 years. Obviously the food is great. Ate here again today and it dawned on me that I've never posted a review. This is authentic Mexico City type Mexican food. The food is delicious ... it's not inexpensive, fairly pricey for what it is but great quality , great ingredients. The Germantown location is run by Jonathan, Pepe's son. Jonathan and the team are outstanding, and Jonathan is almost always here at the Germantown location taking orders and interacting with customers who he often knows by name. Try some of these things below and you won't be disappointed : /milanesa steak tacos /Elote street corn / king crab torta sandwich is outstanding but about $35... you gotta try it / the juice drinks are utterly amazing. Try the cantaloupe drink (6.95) , again simply amazing This place was just featured on Diners , Drive Ins and Dives and it led me to go there once again and post a review with pics .... It's a small place , you order up front and then wait for your number to be called and then you pick up at the counter. Give this a try ”
